Associated Members

  • Any person who demonstrates an interest in cycling and join as Associated Members.
  • Applicant must be the holder of the Hong Kong Identity Card
  • Membership period: From 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 (Renew from February every year).
  • Annual fee:
  • Youth & Junior – HK$40 per annum
  • Senior & Master – HK$60 per annum
  • Insurance Fee – HK$120 per annum(Insurance Coverage)
  • 2023-2024 Membership Enrollment:

  • Racing Member – members who participated in at least 3 races in last 12 months regardless of category.

Affiliated Association Members

Any Hong Kong registered organization that wishes to become a member of the Hong Kong Cycling Association as an affiliated club should follow the procedures and requirements below:

  1. The decision to accept or reject an association membership application will be made by the Hong Kong Cycling Association.
  2. The affiliated club and its individual members must abide by the Hong Kong Cycling Association’s Articles of Association, UCI regulations, Hong Kong cycling competition rules, and anti-doping regulations.
  3. If the affiliated club’s name or team uniform color is similar to that of an existing member, the order of submission of the application form will be used to determine which application is accepted first. However, if the name or color is deemed inappropriate or violates UCI regulations, the Hong Kong Cycling Association has the right to reject the registration.
  4. The registration fee for each team is HKD 500 per year and must be submitted along with the application form and attachments.
  5. The affiliated Club must have at least 8 registered competitive members when submitting the application form.

UCI licence

This document is regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), and it is required for individuals who participate in UCI-recognized cycling events abroad.

Requirements for application:

  1. Membership with the Hong Kong Cycling Association.
  2. No violation of anti-doping regulations or equipment fraud under the UCI rules.
  3. Agreement to abide by the UCI constitution and regulations, especially the anti-doping rules. Recognition of the jurisdiction of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, for any disputes related to anti-doping provisions.
  4. Possession of personal accident and public liability insurance that covers global cycling competitions and training.

Application process:

  1. Submit the application to the association at least 30 days before the competition.
  2. Complete the application form and include the insurance information, specifying the coverage for personal accident and public liability insurance for global cycling competitions and training.
  3. Submit all application documents via email, mail, or in person at the CAHK secretariat.
  4. Starting from April 1, 2024, there is a fee of HKD $100 per applicant payable by check. The check should be made out to “Hong Kong Cycling Association Limited.” Cash payments are not accepted. UCI Licence is valid from January 1 to December 31 each year
