Based on the result of the local race, championship, and HK open each year, the first and second places in each category must have an average score of not less than 20 points for Artistic Cycling athletes to be invited to join the training team.

Under the above selection criteria, if an athlete fails to obtain a spot on the Hong Kong team, they will have one chance to appeal. The appeal application must be submitted in writing to the Hong Kong Cycling Association before leaving the team, and the appellant must attend the appeal hearing at the designated time and place, otherwise, it will be deemed as a waiver.
The appeal committee is composed of the chairman of the indoor cycling committee, the chairman of the training Committee, and three members who are not members of the training committee and will meet with the appellant within one month after receiving the written appeal. The decision of the appeal committee is final, and the appellant cannot object to it.
