Improvement Work of Start-hill (Stage) and International BMX Track at Hong Kong Jockey Club International BMX Park

Notice

In order to match the first phase improvement works for the International BMX Racing Track, Starthill & certain areas (collectively the "Site") (refer to the attached map) at the Hong Kong Jockey Club International BMX Park will be temporarily closed from 2 September 2017 (Saturday) for the improvement works of the starthill and the International BMX racing track. The works is expected to be completed in mid October 2017. During the aforementioned period, access to the site without authorisation is prohibited. Other facilities of the Hong Kong Jockey Club International BMX Park including Training Track, Activity Rooms and Bike Storage Room, will remain open as usual.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Quotation Invitation- TTA and TIA for Shatin Cycling & Running Event on November 2017 (English version only)

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR (20A), Organizing Committee for Cycling and Run Race cum carnival 2017 [2017沙田單車及長跑比賽暨嘉年華籌備委員會], in collaboration with the Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China Ltd. (CAHK), ShaTin Sports Association (STSA), Shatin Arts Association and Shatin District Junior Police Call (JPC), will organize a one-day carnival which will comprise a 20 km professional road cycling race followed by a 10 km road run, Cycling parade, Smart rider and Carnival competitions in Shatin District in November 2017.

The Contractor may submit quotation with the proposed fee and payment schedule for the Association’s consideration.

Please kindly send back quotation with the proposed fee and payment schedule to zoe.lo@cycling.org.hk on or before 5 July 2017 (Wed). Grateful if you can send us a written reply or filling in the reply slip below even if you are unable to have a quotation on the above work.

Obituary

Obituary

 

Mr. Chan Pak Cheung, senior member of the Executive Committee, passed away on 19 May 2017 at the age of 85. Mr. Chan played an active role in the Hong Kong Cycling Association when he joined in early 1960s and became a member of the Executive Committee and was acted as the Treasurer afterwards. In the last 53 years, Mr. Chan had worked tirelessly and selflessly in guiding our Association through many challenging and difficult times and had made distinguished contributions to cycling development in Hong Kong. Furthermore, Mr. Chan brought up many Indoor Cycling athletes and coaches with outstanding achievements over five decades. Mr. Chan will always be remembered as Hero in each and every coaches and athletes he trained.

Members of our Association are saddened by the news and express the deepest condolences to Mr. Chan’s family.
